Texas Community Building with Attorney Resources (CBAR)
TRLA’s CBAR program matches eligible nonprofits with volunteer attorneys who provide legal help with business matters that do not involve litigation, such as incorporation, federal tax exemption, bylaws, contracts, internal policies, board compliance, and other nonprofit legal needs.
As of June 10, 2022, CBAR services are limited to TRLA’s 68-county service area in South and West Texas, which includes greater San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and the RioGrande Valley.
Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas serves 114 counties throughout North and West Texas, including the DFW area.
Lone Star Legal Aid serves 72 counties in North and East Texas, including the greater Houston area.
Please check our map to see if you are within TRLA's service area. If not, please contact a program in your area. CBAR cannot make direct referrals to these programs or approve your application for pro bono placement.
