Federal Agencies
- U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR), 1-800-552-6843 agency that investigates discrimination and denial of equal protection on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin. It operates a Complaint Referral Service that assists callers in contacting the appropriate government office for filing a civil rights or discrimination complaint

The Individual Rights: Civil Rights Team
The Objectives
- Provide help in obtaining representation for clients denied equal access to legal counsel.
- Protect individuals facing discrimination outside of the workplace.
- Help ensure low-income residents’ right to vote.
Our Activities
- Provide counsel and advice for 50 excessive force cases, including police misconduct, non-employment related discrimination, voting rights, or the denial of equal protection or due process of law.
- Litigate civil rights cases.
- Protect individuals in discrimination suits.
