Federal Agencies

  • U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (USCCR), 1-800-552-6843 agency that investigates discrimination and denial of equal protection on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, or national origin. It operates a Complaint Referral Service that assists callers in contacting the appropriate government office for filing a civil rights or discrimination complaint

    The Objectives

    • Provide help in obtaining representation for clients denied equal access to legal counsel.
    • Protect individuals facing discrimination outside of the workplace.
    • Help ensure low-income residents’ right to vote.

    Our Activities

    • Provide counsel and advice for 50 excessive force cases, including police misconduct, non-employment related discrimination, voting rights, or the denial of equal protection or due process of law.
