TRLA Volunteer Opportunities

Each year, TRLA helps more than 20,000 low-income Texans get access to civil justice. However, due to a lack of resources, too many low-income Texans still do not get the legal help they need. Currently, there are over 15,000 eligible low-income Texans for every one TRLA attorney.

Please help support TRLA in its work to provide free civil legal aid to low-income Texans who desperately need it. There is more than one way to help and every bit makes a difference. Whether it's volunteering a little bit of your time or making a tax deductible donation. If you're a lawyer you may choose to participate in one of our pro bono programs.

Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc. Austin Branch office:
Volunteers are needed to work on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month as a librarian assistant. Throughout the library, assistants record new books, sort returned books, periodicals, and other items and return them to their designated shelves, files, or storage areas. If any materials have been damaged, these workers try to repair them. For example, they use tape or paste to repair torn pages or book covers and other specialized processes to repair more valuable materials.
